Flower Power

Nearly a week has gone past and the ooze has not returned! I'd love to think that it had gone forever but....   the new Altered Art 1 class started on Saturday and I've had all sorts of great ideas for the dies and metal tape that we're using in the class. As my craft room is still in a "bit of a state", it continues to remain out of bounds for crafting, this leaves the kitchen table as the only option. Mr Perfect, bless his little cotton socks, did offer to assist me in helping to tackle the room today, but I was very kind and gave him the much easier job of pressure washing the decking and stairs instead (the stairs and decking go from ground level to the second floor). Poor MP, but he really did get the easier job!

Paper Artsy dies Scallop Flower & Grunge Flower
The new classes include a  technique that I learned on an Artsy Crafts weekend taught by the super talented Lin Brown from LB Crafts, using TSS metal and tools. The flowers are coloured using Alcohol Inks from Ranger.

Check out the beautiful colours on this piece.

Die cuts, metal tape, alcohol inks
Last Thursday saw the last of the Martha Stewart / Spellbinder classes. It was pretty hectic, with 4 cards being made during the 2 hour class, but everyone did a great job.

Isobel, another pleased as punch person!

Karen also made the grade
Thanks to everyone for coming along, it was a blast.

Look what Ruth and I found on our travels last week. The shop assistant in Claires thought we were a bit bonkers (no laughing out there in the audience please). We must have bought up most of their sale stock. Some of it very Steampunk and only £1 each!!!

Loved this

And this

Mr Perfect and the Sproglets favourite
Just got to find enough time to play with them.

Big hugs
Karen
